The Marriage Equality Cup Final
This year's World Cup final will feature teams from two countries (Spain and The Netherlands) that have embraced marriage equality, playing in yet another country (South Africa) that has embraced marriage equality. Somebody up there likes us?
That is an interesting take in this year's World Cup finals. All I know is I am excited. Correct me if I am wrong but for whoever wins this it will be their first FIFA World Cup championship. This is sure to be a great game among two very strong teams.
You're right, neither Spain nor The Netherlands have won the World Cup before. Should be a great game -- both were pretty dominant in their semi-final matches, but I think Spain's flair and solid defense will prevail.
